Mercedes-Benz Maybach EQS 680

Latest Update: Mercedes has unveiled its first ever electric Maybach, the EQS 680.

Launch: It could be launched in India by December 2024.

Price: It is expected to be priced at Rs 3.80 crore (ex-showroom).

Colours: Mercedes offers its ultra luxury electric SUV in five dual-tone colour combinations: high-tech silver with obsidian black, high-tech silver with nautical blue, obsidian black with selenite grey, obsidian black with kalahari gold and velvet brown with onyx black.

Seating Capacity: It can seat up to four people.

Battery, Electric Motor, Range and Charging: The Maybach EQS 680 comes with a dual motor setup (making 658PS and 950Nm) which powers all four wheels through its all-wheel drive drivetrain. Its battery capacity is estimated at around 135kWh which can deliver a range of up to 600km. The electric SUV can sprint from nought to 100kmph in 4.4 seconds. Its charging details have been listed below:

• 22kW onboard Charger: 6 hours and 15 minutes

• 200kW DC Fast Charger: 31 minutes

Features: The first electric Maybach SUV boasts a MBUX Hyperscreen throughout the dashboard, two individual 11.6-inch screens for the rear passengers, 15-speaker Burmester 4-D sound system, 64 colour ambient lighting and AIRMATIC air suspension setup.

Rivals: Though the Maybach EQS 680 will sit alongside the Maybach S580 and Maybach GLS 600, it will also be a rival to the Rolls Royce Spectre EV.
